This Blog is my way of reminding all of us – no matter what we face, there is someone who has had a similar experience or someone who is willing to listen. We just need to take that first step, just one step at a time, one day at a time, one small achievement at a time.
Over the last several years, my immediate family has seen their struggles with illness. We lost our father to Multiple Myeloma (blood cancer), a brother to complications from epilepsy, a brother to stage IV Brain Cancer, our mother though she lived to be 90 yrs old, suffered from Dementia the last 7 years of her life and in the end didn’t recognize any of the family. Oh and lets not forget that 3 out of the 4 sisters in my family who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Sadness can be a potent force for reflection. As a wise person once said, “feel it and it will go away, ignore it and it will resurface another day”.
